A residency by Kate can be poetry-oriented only, or she can add a musical component.  Musically speaking, Kate’s works include cabaret and theater songs, a one-act opera, a song cycle based on her poems, a mini-musical, and other options. These can all be performed by the local talent, or she can help arrange for a traveling show out of New York.

As a lecturer or in a masterclass, she can address topics of songwriting, libretto creation, and collaboration, and musical coaching. Kate is also an accomplished professional classical violinist.

Performances of The Life and Love of Joe Coogan, a one-act comic opera adapted from an episode of “The Dick Van Dyke Show,” with or without its companion piece, Tony’s Caruso’s Final Broadcast, can be licensed through Theodore Presser Company.
